Iris Family Support
Iris has been set up to support the development of partnerships, working at all levels of the health and social care system; from research and policy, to commissioning and provision of services and supports. We focus on full circle consultancy: connecting decision making from the Boardroom to the living room.
We believe that through opening communication between professionals and families, we can focus more time, effort and energy towards building partnerships with each other. In helping families to explore and learn what they need and have the systems respond to those needs, we will save time, money and a lot of stress and trauma.
About Gabriella
With over 20 years’ experience in planning, delivery, organisation and research in health services, I am uniquely placed to support schools, local authorities and health systems in responding to the challenges they face in SEND, learning disability and autism.
Vision
A culture of compassion and humanity, power and enablement. A world where every family is supported to have a vision, with services around them asking ‘how can we help to achieve that’, over ‘what are you entitled to and how can you prove it?’.
A 360 perspective
My personal experience supporting my daughter with complex disabilities, combined with my professional experience in national policy and work in supporting families on the ground, gives my work a 360 perspective that ensures local areas are able to meet their responsibilities, whilst families remain at the centre of support.
